Description
Receipt issued to the khuzzān of the Fayyūm tax districts against revenue delivered by Abū l-Ḥasan b. Wahb. Amount: one-quarter, one-sixth and two ḥabbas (Khan read one-eighth, two qīrāṭs and one). Dated: 24 Muḥarram 404. Written by the jahbadh Mīkhāʾīl b. ʿAbd al-Masīḥ. Measurements: 12.5 × 7.7 cm. The verso is blank.

- A valid receipt has been granted to the warehouse-keeper in the province of al-Fayyūm on behalf of ʾAbū al-Ḥasan ibn Wahb
- the estate-manager, for the year four-hundred and three, under the supervision of the auspicious, rightly-guided judge,
- Ṯiqat al-Mulk Makin al-Dawla wa-ʾAmīnuhã, the protégé of the commander of the faithful, ʾAbū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn Bahār,
- with ʾAbū al-Sarī Theodor ibn Yuḥannis acting as accountant.
- Half of this: One, an eighth, and two qīrāts (= twelfth). Its amount: Two, a quarter and a sixth.
- Written by Mīḵāʾīl ibn ʿAbd al-Masīḥ, the cashier. Valid. The twenty-fourth of Muḥarram,
