Credit instrument or private receipt ENA NS 83.111Description
Document(s) in Arabic. Probably late Mamluk or early Ottoman-era. Difficult to read. Verso (seems to be the later use) is headed "aḥāla"; mentions al-muʿallim Samawʾal b. Ifrāyim (Shemuʾel b. Efrayim) al-Yahūdī; and the phrase al-ḥawāla al-maqbūla. Therefore likely regarding a money transfer (ḥawāla). Needs further examination.
