Description

Fatimid-era rent receipt of 10 dirhams for a shop. The renter is Abī al-Naṣr and the property owner is Jamāl al-Dīn al-Malik al-ʾAʿaz. The property is located in "Ḥammām al-Fār", a known locality outside the Roman fortress on its north-western side. It was a whole complex - a bathhouse, a market, and dwellings. There was also a Jewish presence there including shops, a Jewish endowment, and a kosher slaughterhouse. YU/MY.
