Description

On recto there are three brief legal records: (I) The first concerns the selling of jewels owed to Abū l-Ḥasan b. Abū l-Fakhr. Dated: Shevaṭ 1536 Seleucid = January/February 1225 CE. Signed by Ḥalfon b. Elʿazar ha-Kohen and [...] b. Yosef. (II) The second document is faded. Abū l-Faraj b. Manṣūr is serving as a guarantor of Yosef al-Kohen's daughter. (III) The third document is torn, but probably deals with a store. On verso there are copious accounts in Arabic script, Judaeo-Arabic, and Greek/Coptic numerals, written in various directions on the page. AA
