Description

Legal document(s). In the hand of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe. Dated (on verso): last third of Shevaṭ 1448 Seleucid = January 1136 CE. Recto and verso are distinct documents, but related. It seems to be a rent agreement between Sitt al-Nās (reading uncertain) and Abū l-Ḥasan ʿAlī. One side is signed by Ḥalfon and by ʿEli b. Menashshe ha-Kohen he-Ḥaver. The other side is signed by Moshe b. Yaʿaqov ha-Kohen and Zakkay b. Moshe. (Information mainly from OZ.)
