Description

Fragment from the right side of a legal document in Arabic script. Mentions a sum of 10.5 dinars. Dating: Mentions Shaʿbān [5]73 AH = January/February 1178 CE (the document itself was probably drawn up before this). On verso there are two records of payments toward the debt, written in different hands, the first for a single dinar and mentioning ʿAlī b. Abū Saʿīd, and the second for 5 dinars, dated Ṣafar 576 AH = June/July 1180 CE. There is also an unrelated document in Judaeo-Arabic (see separate record).
