Description

Quire with Masekhet Avot. Fol. 10v: Colophon. Completed Thursday, 25 Tammuz 1377 Seleucid = 21 July 1066 CE. Copied by Yoshiyyahu ha-Ḥazzan b. Saʿadyahu ha-Meʿulle ba-Ḥavura b. Yisraʾel he-Ḥaver, for Mevasser b. Mevorakh ha-Kohen ha-Pishtani. Fol. 10r contains a purchase note for Abū l-Surūr Fahd of Tyre. Underneath, there is a note indicating transfer of ownership to ʿOvadya b. Yiṣḥaq known as Ibn Futayḥ, preceded by the verb נעתקה ("we set it free"?). Fol. 1r: Ownership note for the same ʿOvadya b. Yiṣḥaq b. Yiftaḥ ha-Kohen along with a curse for a thief.
