Description

Letter fragment in Judaeo-Arabic. Late. Addressed to ʿOvadya in Fustat (Miṣrayim) in the neighborhood of the Qaraites (חרות(!) אלקראין). The origin seems to appear in the address but is unclear (מן אלמנטייה?) or possibly אלמנשייה المنشية, which could refer to a specific part of Alexandria or a variety of small towns near Acre, Safed, Tulkarm, and Jenin. Mentions someone named Shtīwī; contains greetings; "when I traveled from the city"; and Sulaymān.
