Letter Reinach IV

Description

A letter to a certain Ḥaver, Yosef b. Ya'aqov, probably residing in Tyre. The letter itself is in Hebrew, and inculde a long a flowery opening and blessings. Before the letter, a long title in Judeo-Arabic, in a slightly larger script, describing the letter as addressed to the above mentioned Ḥaver, as dealing with a suftaja, and mentions names of several witnesses, some of them are known merchants. The letter mentions three different checks (דיוקני), their authentication, documents in Arabic script (בכתב חרוט ומבוטא בלשון הגרי). The letter occupies the lower half of recto. End is missing.
