Description
Recto: Petition in Arabic script. Much of it is vague and allusive. Refers to the addressee as "al-mawlā" and refers multiple times to the sulṭān. The request seems to be that the addressee help the sender's brother-in-law in "going out" from somewhere, as the sulṭān had previously bestowed the beneficence of uniting the two of them. Verso: Family letter in Arabic script, addressed to Abū ʿAbdallāh. In a different hand than recto and seemingly unrelated.

- من مولانا السلطان اعز الله نصره واجي
- الى خدمة المولا واتشرف بنظره
- واشتهي من انعام المولا تكون مشتمل على
- ابنك(؟) مملوك مملوك المولا والله لقد ملكت
- رضانا بالاحسان الذي يتصل من المولا
- فالله تعالى يجريك(؟) خير وما للمولا عندنا
- خيرا(؟) الى الدعا والشكر بين يدي السلطان
- خلد الله ملكه واشتهي من انعام المولا ان تساعد
- صهري في الخروج فقد انعم علينا
- مولانا السلطان بجمع شملنا بمقارنا(؟)
