Description

Accounts mentioning the receipt of payments in sherifi (שרפי= produced post-1425 CE) which, in combination with the paleography helps to date this fragment as 15th- or 16th-century. A few names are mentioned such as Moshe b. Ḥayyīm and Yiṣḥaq al-Sh__[?]. In the first entry the payment may be related to a quantity of leather (גלדי). Given the similar scribal hand, this may be the same Moshe b. Ḥayyīm mentioned in the nearby shelfmark ENA 2898.9 (l. 21) and ENA 2898.13 (l. 5). The shelfmarks ENA 2898.7-14 may all be from the same booklet. MCD.
