Description

Two fragments of a letter in Arabic script. Hard to tell if it is a state document, a mercantile document, or both. Refers to "al-ḥujaj al-sāmiya," a quantity in Egyptian qinṭārs, and a shipment by Shams al-Dawla(?). Most of what is preserved is the marginal text; only a few words from the beginnings of the lines in the main text block are preserved. Reused on recto for Judaeo-Arabic and Hebrew literary text.
