Description

State receipt in Arabic script, issued by "al-qism al-awwal Qalyūbiyya," one of the 24 administrative sections of Egypt that were established in the 1820s. Probably a receipt of payment for 577 Kurūş Rūmī, with the header "ʿammā yakhṣim", towards Rasmī Effendi, the overseer of the affairs of the (khāna?) "nāẓir umūr khānat(?) Qalyūb". Needs examination.
