Description

Official accounts from "al-Ṣāfīyya bi-wilāyet al-Gharbīyya" (מוסה נעים צראף אלכזינה באסם אלצאפייה בולאיית אלגרבייה), an institution related to the provincial Treasury (כזינה). Dated Ṣafar 1247 AH which is 1831 CE. The accounts list a wide array of locations within region of al-Gharbīyya, such as: (right side, recto) Mīt Qallīn (l. 19), al-Bakātūsh (l. 21), al-Manshilīn (ll. 20, 22), Maḥallat Diyāy (l. 24), Kafr al-Jazaʾir (l. 26), Ṣarwa (l. 29), al-Ṣāfīyya (l. 31). The other locations in this list are likely in the near vicinity of this cluster of towns but will require further research because some may be archaic placenames that do not appear on current maps.
