Description

Accounts in Arabic script for the sale of cotton. Dated 9 R[amaḍan] [..]90 AH, omitting the first two digits. Given the mention of the ق qurush currency symbol throughout, minted post-1690 CE, the year is either 1190 AH or 1290 AH. The former year/date, equivalent to Oct. 1776 CE, seems more likely based on the paleography but there may be mention of additional currencies that rule out the eighteenth century. MCD.
