Description

Riddles in Judaeo-Arabic poetry. The one on verso: "Tell me what kind of bird I saw in the lands of Persians and Arabs. / It is eaten fried and its meat is cooked and it is eaten roasted if it is placed in the flame. / It has no bones nor blood nor leg nor tail. / It has no spirit nor is it dead, tell me, indeed this is a wonder."
