Letter AIU VII.E.59Description
Business letter in Judaeo-Arabic. Dated 29 Sivan, without mention of the year (but probably 18th- or 19th-century based on the paleography). The letter was sent by a certain Aḥmad Abū-l-ʿAttar (אבו אלעטר) to Avraham Ḥaqīm; the former's ink seal appears below his signature, with the word أحمد mostly legible. The signature/ink seal appears in an odd location and it seems that the writer needed to switch to a new type of ink after completing the first few lines.
