Description

Recto (secondary use): Tax receipt issued to the khuzzān of the Fayyūm tax districts against revenue delivered by Abū l-Ḥasan b. Wahb. Dated: 10 Ṣafar 404. Amount of payment: one-quarter dīnār (Khan reads one-half and two). Written by the jahbadh Mīkhāʾīl b. ʿAbd al-Masīḥ. Measurements: 11.5 × 9.7 cm. The recto, which was written before the verso, contains part of a petition addressed to an official (see separate entry).
