Description

Accounts in Judaeo-Arabic. Dated on the verso: Wednesday 14 ____[crossed out month] 921 AH (כאץ). At first glance the month appears to be an abbreviation of Sha[wwāl], but the fourteenth fell on a Tuesday rather than a Wednesday in this month during 921. The 14th did fall on a Wednesday in Jumādā II and Dhu al-Qaʿda of 921 but neither option seems more likely given how the scribe crossed out the month (perhaps indicating it was a mistake). Requires further examination.
