Description

Letter fragment in Ladino in a very cursive hand. The author mentions their "nephew / sobrino" and also "my cousin Avraham ha-Levi" (3 and 4 lines from the bottom). On the final line, the surname Meyuhas is referenced. There is discussion of sending barrels in ll. 5, 10, with one reference mentioning "אונ באריל די קונה די זאנטי" (l. 5, 10). This may be a reference to the island of Zante in the souther Adriatic (known today as Zakynthos), or the island's port city by the same name. MCD.
