Description

Accounts in Judaeo-Arabic. Dated in the month of Rajab on the verso above the main heading, possibly with a year in the left corner כגץ which is 923 AH (although this may be a stylized repetition of Rajab or some kind of abbreviation). The paleography does support a dating estimate in the 16th-century, therefore 923 AH (1517 CE) appears with this shelfmark as a placeholder inferred date. Further research is required on the format of this potential year within the genre of 16th-century accounts. Some of the names mentioned include: Nāṣr b. Manṣūr, Maḥ[mūd] b. Muḥ[ammad] Sāmī(?), Aḥ[mad] al-Manṣūr[ī], among others. Probably the same scribal hand as T-S AS 210.50 (PGPID 22816) and ENA 2903.8 (PGPID 12535). MCD.
