Description

Torn court record, probably a bill of release, between Abū Yaʿqūb Yūsuf (Abū Yaʿaqov Yosef) al-Ḥarīrī and Abū l-Barakāt Yehoshuaʿ regarding a missing shipment of silk (?). The speaker was obliged to lay low due to debts owed to the dīwān. He petitioned the Nagid (שר השרים ונגיד הנגידים, probably Moshe b. Mevorakh, r. 1112–27 CE) who beneficently helped him. AA/ASE
