Description

Recto: Letter fragment in Arabic script. Refers to the qāḍī Zayn al-Dīn; a plan to go out on Tuesday the 3rd of Ṣafar; that the qāḍī Jamāl al-Dīn has prepared a lot of food and plans to accompany the sender; and that the qāḍī Ṣafiyy al-Dīn also plans to join and has obtained six camels (sitt jimāl) from Ibn al-Fāḍīl for his father Zayn al-Dīn in order to transport the food. On verso there are accounts in Arabic script and Greek/Coptic numerals, listing items such as malḥafas.

  6. الله طعام كثير وهو يخرج صحبتنا ان شا الله
  7. تعالى وللقاضي صفي الدين وقد اخذ انا للقـ[ـاضي
  8. زين الدين من ابن الفاضل ست حمال نحملوا عليهم
  9. الطعام فوالله لقد اوحشنا المولا كثير والقاضي
  10. جمال الدين ابقاه الله تعالى يستوحش من المولا في
