Description

Letter from a certain Shemuʾel to a certain Elʿazar in honor of his wedding. With a long Hebrew introduction of blessings and praises. The sender conveys everyone's joy when they learned that the addressee married into a good family (באנך תזוגת בנאס גיאד). He asks for details about the bride (מן אין בית היא ואן כאן היא תוכל(?) או רגע(?)). He requests a letter with all the addressee's updates. He tells the addressee to come visit and and 'show her (probably his mother) your face before her death.' On verso this request is repeated; he is asked to bring his wife (לעל תאכד גוזתך ותנחדר ענדנא) and visit 'the old woman' (al-ʿajūz). Greetings from the addressee's brother Surūr. AA/ASE
