Recto: Brief letter to a cantor concerning 4 dinars for the purchase of a Torah codex (muṣḥaf): אלחזן שצ יעלם אן לא . . . . . אלא באמר בית דין וקד חצרת צא . . . . . אלמצחף מע אבי אלמאית והם יטאלבו באלמצחף וקד חצר מן ירידה ודפע פיה ד דנא פאן צח מעך פיה . . . . ואלא פאחצרה נביעה ואנת תאכד אגרתך פאסרע באנגאז דלך שלומך יגדל סלה Verso: Order of payment in Arabic script, for Abū l-ʿAlāʾ b. Shaʿyā to pay 6 dinars 'from the total of the document' (يدفع الشيخ ابو العلا بن شعيا ستة دنانير من جملة الوثيقة). The remaining text is very faded.
