Description
Letter from Ṭayyib b. Mūsā (or Ibn Majjānī according to Sabih Aodeh), possibly in Jerusalem, to Abū l-Ḥasan ʿEzra b. Ismāʿīl (or ʿAwda b. Ismāʿīl according to Aodeh), in Fustat. In Arabic script. If the reading Ṭayyib b. Mūsā is correct, he could be the Byzantine Qaraite Ṭoviyya b. Moshe who served as a Fatimid official in Palestine and corresponded with the Tustarīs from Jerusalem; see CUL Or.1080 J21 (PGPID 2266) and related documents. On verso there is also literary text in Hebrew. Same cluster: T-S Ar.38.91 (PGPID 8219) - same sender and addressee, same reuser; published by Aodeh T-S NS 327.11 (PGPID 25791) - same addressee (and presumably the same sender); same reuser; published by Aodeh T-S NS 327.10 (PGPID 25783) - based on the same Hebrew reuse; the fact that it is adjacent to the preceding shelfmark provides further evidence T-S K11.14 + T-S K11.58 (PGPID 41969) - same reuser; the mention of Ibrāhīm b. Sahl al-Tustarī might corroborate the Ṭoviyya b. Moshe identification above. Needs further examination.
