Description

Recto: Small fragment of a letter in Arabic script. The context is difficult to make out, but the sender refers to a ḥadith, "al-jār bi al-jār ḥattā kād yūrithuhu", meaning the Prophet would advise taking care of the neighbors to such an extent that everyone thought he might give them a share in inheritance. Verso: Hebrew text that looks like a legal document but might just be praising somebody - needs further examination. (Information in part from CUDL)
