Description

Bifolio of communal accounts. Dating: probably late 12th or early 13th century. Mainly a distribution list for clothing. The names are mostly crossed out and mostly followed by the word thawb. Names include: Bū l-makārim; Ibn al-Mukandij; al-Bilbaysiyya; Ibn al-Quṣayyira; the wife of al-Būnī; Umm Bū Saʿīd; the acquaintance of Sitt Wafāʾ; Umm Ghāliya; Umm Ḥasana; the wife of Fāris al-Shām(?); Umm Nafīs; the wife ('house') of שירואן(?); Yosef ha-Kohen; the wife ('house') of Ibn Ḥātim; Abū l-Ḥasan al-Qudsī; Abū l-Ḥasan; the judge (dayyan); Makhlūf; a widow; a Persian ascetic (nazir ʿajamī); Umm HIlāl; the acquaintance of al-Kohen. The other pages contain other communal expenses including "al-Nafīs, watchman"; Ḥasība [...]; Abū l-Ṭāhir, beadle; Maḥāsin, beadle; Abū l-Faraj, former beadle; the orphans of Abū l-Ṭāhir; a small apartment (duwayra); R.
