Natan b. Avraham (16th c)
Description / Bio
Court scribe within the Rabbanite community of Cairo during the sixteenth century. Dated documents currently attest that Natan's scribal career spanned the 1530–1540s CE. Natan b. Avraham served under the well-known rabbinic authority ha-Radba''z, Rabbi David Ibn Abi Zimra (ca. 1479-1573 CE). The Radba''z mentions this scribe in at least one of his responsa: Rabbi David b.
