Description / Bio

Based in Aden. Might be from Syria-Palestine; Mukhtār was a common name among Syro-Palestinian Jews. He corresponded with the 'Trustee' Abū 'l-ʿAlā Ṣāʿid-ʿUllā, who was (or whose family was) from Damascus. Mukhtār's associate Ibn Shaʿyā was also from Syria-Palestine. Yequtiʾel b. Moshe acted as Mukhtār's agent in Fustat.
