Description / Bio

Husband of Berākhā bt. Peraḥyā Ben Yijū and brother-in-law of, among others, Avraham Ben Yijū. He and his wife had at least two sons and one daughter together (see IB III, 29). The couple and their children, alongside her siblings Yosef and Mevassēr, left their hometown of Al-Mahdiyya following Roger II of Sicily's 1148 conquest of Tunisia.
