Description / Bio

Enslaved woman or girl (possibly named Jaḥū[n]) who is mentioned in a bill of sale in which she was sold by Abū l-Faraj Yeshuʿa ha-Levi to the buyer Abū l-Riḍā. The scribal hand of the document is that of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe, which supports a dating estimate of 1100-1138 CE.
