Letter from a certain Shemuʾel to a dignitary called Thiqat al-Dawla. On parchment. In Hebrew. Consisting entirely of blessings and flattery for the addressee and his son Saniyy al-Dawla (perhaps an effort to obtain private charity).

"mā rāḥ ḥaẓẓuk fī l-ʿūlyā bi-muntaqiṣ", a variant of the poem by al-Buḥturī. Contains a name "Ḥassūn b. Muḥamad b. ʿAbd al-Ṣamad". Needs examination.

Probably the top of a legal or communal declaration (naqūl....), introduced by a Hebrew composition with citations from Numbers 18:7 and allusions to Ezekiel 44:8. Location: Cairo (al-Muʿizziyya).

Letter fragment in Judaeo-Arabic. Mentions al-Talmid al-Jalīl αnd something to do with the synagogue (עלי אלהיכל קבל ראש השנה), and conveys greetings "from the congregation."
Seems to be complaining about the difficulties faced this year: "...we have no mind and no [...] from all the storms (? al-anwāʾ) which have happened to us..."
The writer is sending regards to some family members including Efraim, and also to his sister Rivka and to Mas’uda, Amran, Zaharun and Moshe.
