  1. If even one letter is delivered to Maḍmūn,
  2. he will try to deliver
  3. the letter of Rabbi Yaʿaqov letter according to Maḍmūn's
  4. order and decision, as well as
  5. the letters of the entire group, even if something arrives
  6. from elsewhere, on his order,
  7. and he will endeavor as much as possible to make *peace*
  8. between them. Thus will both of them
  9. aim to forgive,
  10. take an oath and apologize.
  11. He will write a testimony about the situation
  12. and (about) forgiving them. He will endeavor
  13. to get Maḍmūn to sign with his own hand
  14. if he is asked about them. He will hurry to 
  15. it all, the night after
  16. he arrives. Ibn Jamāhir's letter,
  17. if it is necessary,
  18. and (even) if it isn't, should be put aside. Another letter
  19. will reach Yosef in the hands of al-Futīḥī

  18. him.
