الوصف

Letter/petition from a cantor apparently addressed to Moshe Maimonides. Mainly in Judaeo-Arabic. The sender asks him for assistance with the payment of the capitation tax, as he does every year for 200 other people. The petitioner seems to be a Qaraite, as he says "do not make me turn to the Qaraites" (ll. 26–27). (Information from CUDL and Goitein's index card.)
