الوصف

Beginning of a legal document. Written on parchment. Location: Damascus. The parties are Sason b. Yeshuʿa ha-Levi and David ha-Kohen. One of them confirms that he has received a sum of Nāṣirī nuqra dirhams (first minted under Saladin in 1187 CE). There may be earlier text (scraped off) on verso. (Information in part from CUDL and Goitein's index card.)
