الوصف

Two folios from a literary codex containing an interesting set of prayers in Judaeo-Arabic for the Muslim caliph ʿUthmān as well as the amīr Abū ʿAbd Allāh b. Abū Fāris and and their victory and the prosperity of the state and for "all the Muslim men and Muslim women." Also mentions the names Bū Bakr and Masʿūd. The blessings are written out in multiple versions and hands, and the last instance contains "fulān" instead of the name of the ruler. Dating: uncertain, may be identifiable based on the rulers named; the handwriting looks no earlier than ~14th century. The context may be Ḥafṣid, and the caliph named here could be Abū ʿAmr ʿUthmān who reigned 1435–88. Needs further investigation.
