Court records, all concerning the same persons. Recto: see PGPID 9011 Verso, top: see PGPID 41775 Verso, bottom: Dated: Monday, 8 Iyyar 1409 (12 April 1098 CE). Complete but unsigned. In the hand of Hillel b. ʿEli. In which Moshe reports that he traveled with the aforementioned goods entrusted to him by Sason b. Natan to Upper Egypt (al-Ṣāʿīd). He sold them and purchased other commodities with the proceeds and delivered those to Sason, with no further liabilities between them. The court asked Sason to respond, who said, "Yes, I gave him saffron and yeast and various other goods documented by me (mathbūta ʿindī). When he arrived, I asked him about everything he obtained, and I saw a discrepancy. I told him, 'What you have brought me is about half of my property.' And he gave me this ruqʿa in the handwriting of Abū Isḥāq b. Ṭībān which he wrote in my absence, and he said, 'This is the correct account of everything you sent with me.'" The next two lines are difficult to read. It seems that according to this document Moshe acknowledged owing 4 dinars to Sason. Moshe then responds to the court explaining that the goods were entrusted to him by way of commenda (muḍāraba) and that he was not instructed to make purchases(?). He then wishes Sason to take an oath.
