الوصف
Draft of a poem for a circumcision composed and written by Avraham Ibn Yijū, containing the acrostic with his name (אברהמ חזק). With praises for the Nagid Shemuʾel (b. Ḥananya) and his son. The recipient of the panegyric was originally Ḥalfon (b. Maḍmūn, the Nagid of Yemen); Ibn Yijū first attempted to write the name Shemuʾel on top of the name Ḥalfon but then crossed it out and wrote Shemuʾel above. Later on, he amended "son" to "sons" to reflect the new recipient. See also T-S NS 108.78 + T-S H11.37 + T-S NS 96.54 (PGPID 41717). (Information in part from M. A. Friedman.) Identified by Alan Elbaum.
