الوصف

Letter in Judaeo-Arabic and Hebrew. Dating: probably 11th century Addressed to a group of people (אלפצלא אלאגלא . . . אעצם אללה כראמתכם . . . ). Probably recommending a man for charity ( ענדנא רגל, l. 8). The nature of his difficulty and the request is unclear. Might mention Jerusalem (l. 8); people who gave their spirits to God ( . . לו ארואחהם ללה, l. 10); his dependents (l. 11); the phrase געל אללה פי קלבה חסן עונהם (l. 12); redemption of captives (l. 14); the phrase עין אלכראמה (second fragment, l. 4); and further blessings for the addressees. Three or four signatures are partially preserved in large characters, including [...] b. Avraham, Ḥabīb b. [...], and David b. Yehuda(?). THere is additional writing at the bottom and the right margin in Judaeo-Arabic, possibly concerning the same subject.
