Draft of a Fatimid petition. Recto: l. 1 mentions "the dīwān"; l. 2 mentions tax farmers (al-ḍumanāʾ al-muqaddamīn (dhikruhum?) of "this district (hādhihi l-nāḥiya); l. 3 mentions an exchange rate of 36 dirhams per dinar; l. 4 mentions the term ʿummāl; l. 5 mentions al-dīwān al-maʿmūr; l. 6 may contain the phrase "khurūj al-am[r] al-[ʿālī]" (requesting a rescript in response to the petition). Verso again refers to "this district" multiple times; mentions someone who is trying to deliver himself (khalās nafsihi); l. 3 is mostly crossed out. l. 4 containst he phrase "mā iʿtamadahū maʿahū rajulān min ahl al-nāḥyia); l. 5 may refer to Bedouins (ʿurbān). As of July 2025 this fragment is not conserved and can be seen only in Cambridge.
