الوصف

Accounts in a mixture of Ladino and Judaeo-Arabic. The dating is post-1517, 16th- or 17th-century, based on the paleography and mention of Ottoman titles. Many of the account entries are terse, bearing solely names and numerical figures, but the second line of the recto states in Ladino: "el muchacho de Qāsim Beğ" (איל מוגאגו די קאסם ביג). Several other entries on the recto also name individuals with the Ottoman title çavuş, such as: Muḥammad Çavuş and Ferḥat Çavuş. The verso is in the same scribal hand mentioning the currencies jadīd and fiḍḍa. MCD.
