Legal document mentioning Yaʿaqōv Shalōm the legal guardian (apotropos) of the unmarried orphan Sitūt bt. Moshe Maṣliaḥ. Dated: Adar II 5608 AM which is March 1848 CE. The scribe's and/or witness' signature may have been intentionally removed but an unidentified ink seal still appears beside it (at least part of which is in Arabic-script). The document deals with the orphan's inheritance and her prospective husband Yosef Ṣion. The verso lists funds Yaʿacōv Shalōm handled on behalf of Sitūt as 8,000 arayōt. MCD.
