Fol. 1v: Legal document in Judaeo-Arabic. Dating: 12th or 13th century. Involves a real estate transaction between two Levi brothers 'the princes' (שני האחין השרים הלוים) named [...] and David b. Yeshuʿa ha-Levi (the sellers), and two Kohen brothers named Ṣedaqa and Yaʿaqov b. Raṣon ha-Kohen (the buyers). A sum of 26 nuqra dirhams is named. The Kohen brothers are purchasing property adjacent to their compound to incorporate it into their property. The sellers owned the property jointly with Muslims (והדא אלמלך נחן פיה שרכה מע גויים). There is also a dilapidated drugstore (dukkān ʿiṭr) somehow involved. Mentions Abū Naṣr. The remaining pages consist of leaves from Dāwūd ibn Abī l-Bayān’s treatise on pharmacopoeia for hospitals: opening, partial table of contents and part of chapter 2 (ed. P. Sbath 1933, pp.17, 23-25.). (Information in part from CUDL.)
