الوصف

Poem in Judaeo-Arabic, rhyming in li-. Introduced as a 'sīra' by [...], apparently a renowned Muslim poet and astrologer (. . . שערי אלמלה אלאסלאמיה ומנגמי[הא]). Mentions the Ghuzz; 'the crosses' (al-ṣulbān) - perhaps a reference to the Crusaders; possibly the rise of a military hero; possibly an allusion to Ṣārim al-Dawla (تصرم دولة . . .); Damascus, Jerusalem, Yāfā(?), and ʿAkkā; Egypt; ships capsizing at sea. Merits further examination. ASE.
