الوصف

Recto (secondary use): Letter of appeal for charity from Asʿad b. al-Ḥājj Ḥusām. In Arabic script. Dating: Probably Mamluk-era. He says that "I have nothing over me" and that he is "on the tiles/floor/pavement (ʿalā l-balāṭ)" and asks for the price of a mat (ḥaṣīra).
