Legal entries in the hand of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe ha-Levi (1100–38). Entry at upper right: mentions the 17th of Jumādā, the name of a witness Ibn al-Ṭ[...], Abū ʿAlī, and a modaʿ. Main entry: summary of a sale (bayʿ al-jalb) of an enslaved woman. Location: Cairo. Seller: Abū Saʿīd [...] b. Ṣedaqa. He had previously purchased her from (alladhī ishtarāhā min) Abū l-Faraj Natan. Buyer: Salāma Ibn al-Amʿaṭ. The word Ṣāfī appears, which could be the name of an enslaved man (ghulām) who served as an agent of the Jewish court in Fustat, but the context is missing. Price: 17 dinars.
