Communal letter. Maybe an autograph of David I Maimonides (וכ[תב] דוד). Might be a proclamation against certain popular forms of piety (the shrine of Dammūh/Dimwa?), referring to "worshipping in it . . . making pilgrimage (ziyāra) to a place where this applies . . .," then a reference to the biblical Moses (ורבן שלכל הנביאים עה), then "the people who frequent it. . . with merriment (lahw) and entertainment (ṭarab)." On verso mentions a period of 1.5 years and declares a ban of excommunication against naysayers (. . . אן יכאלף אחד הדא אלחרם ומן תעדא עליה פהו מוחרם ומובדל מעדת ישראל).
