Verso, lefthand page: End of a legal query and responsum from "our rabbi the Rav" (Friedman suggests this is R. Yehuda b. Yosef ha-Kohen) concerning an oath incumbent on ʿArūs for Avraham about the 'fulfillment of the trust' (adāʾ al-amāna). The Rav states that this is tantamount to a de-ʾorayta oath, and the person taking the oath should be holding a Torah scroll. See Goitein and Friedman, India Book I, pp. 86–87 for a discussion.
