الوصف
Mercantile and/or family letter in Arabic script. Seems to be an addendum or final page of a letter, since there are no opening greetings but rather begins "... tamām al-kitāb...." Mentions various business matters; something that is in high demand this year; "my goal is only... my mother-in-law (? ḥamātī), and the house/wife (al-bayt), and the female slave (jāriya), and the male slave (ʿabd)..."; a request to send something; Ibrāhīm Ibn [Sabrā?] al-Fāsī who is planning to travel; "if you (pl.) travel, we/I will take your place in the house and watch over the female slave (jāriya) and the male slave (ghulām) and everything that is in the house." Concludes with greetings to various people, including: Abū l-Qasam ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, Abū l-Faḍl; Brāhīm al-Fāsī. At the very end, the scribe Barakāt chimes in with his own greetings.
